You Gotta Have Outrageous Dreams To make Any Dreams Come True

Today I was working on my Simpleology 101 daily assignment and it got me thinking about all the dreams that I have had over the years. Many of my dreams have come true, but I have some really wild dreams that I am still chasing and will chase as long as I am able to.

You have to have BIG dreams in order to make small dreams come true. A person that goes through life without a dream is just going through the motions and digging a deeper and deeper rut. I have been there and done that, and I find life more exciting when you are chasing a dream and helping people chase their dreams.

One thing you must do if you are going to move forward in your life is have some wild dreams. I mean dreams so big that people that know you will think you are crazy! You need to write down what your ultimate life would look like if you could live your wildest dreams.

If I were............
If I had..............
If I were doing......

then I would be profoundly happy and fulfilled. My life would be complete and I would consider myself a success.

What car would you drive?
What house would you live in?
What habits would you break?
What would you do with your life if time and money were no object?
What inspires you or excites you?
What are your biggest dreams?
If you want to be famous, what do you want to be famous for?

Don't hold back. Write everything down.

Some people put their lives on hold because they can't figure out what they want out of life. Meanwhile, life passes them by.

Don't let this happen to you.
If you can't think of anything, commit to thinking about it and write something down.

I think it would really neat if people post their wildest dreams here. How big can you really dream? Get a cup of coffee and a tablet and close your eyes for a few minutes. Think about what you would be doing right now if you had total financial freedom and could have , do or be anything you want.

What are your wildest dreams?

Seriously, if time or money was no object what would you be doing right now? Don't
be afraid to post what you want! It will put your mind one step closer towards figuring out how to get it!

I will share my wildest dreams with you, but you have to share yours with me!
I have huge dreams, but what I want you to know is they are all based on Zig Ziglar's principal - If you help enough people get whatever they want in life, you will get whatever you want.

Financial freedom is a big dream. I would love to have as much money as it takes to do whatever I want to do anytime, I want to do it, anywhere in the world.
I will admit I have wanted a Mercedes Benz since 1985. I still don't have one, but it has been my dream car, and I will have one someday.

We are on our 4th pre-owned Cadillac, but someday there will be a new Mercedes sitting in front of my dream home which will cost $3,000,000 to build. I can see my dream home in my mind.
I am constantly writing more things down that I want in it.

My other wildest dreams include being an internet millionaire, being a famous songwriter with Dove awards for my worship songs, and being a best-selling author with people lined up waiting to see me. I want to be a leadership coach and mentor to thousands of people. I want to speak all over the world teaching leadership skills. I also want to speak all over the world telling people how Jesus has set me free from the chains that bound me.

A Grandma's Special Moment

Today I was helping my oldest son at his house, and my daughter-in-law (my youngest son's wife) stopped in after church. She had my grandson along. He is so cute! He just turned a year old 2 weeks ago. He has been walking around the furniture for several weeks but still has not let go. I asked her if he started walking yet. She said no.
I went in the living room and my husband was holding him. He put him down on his feet and I said "come to grandma".
My husband left him go and he took his first steps right into his grandma's arms! I was so excited. I turned him around and he took a few steps back into his grandpa's arms.
Wow! That just made my day. Then we got a few toys out and played for a little while until his mom was ready to go home! I'm sure there was some excitement later on when he got home and took his first steps into his daddy's arms!

Household Chores - Clean The Lint Out Of The Dryer

Saturday I had a great time helping my son. He is putting in a dream bathroom. It looks like it came out of a magazine. He did all the tile work himself. He asked me to help him. I was bucket girl. He grouted and I dumped the buckets of black, grimy water. In between dumping buckets, I did all his wash and put it away. I vacuumed his whole house, did the dishes and cleaned the kitchen.

I a love doing things for my kids. They both work very hard and I happy to run to their house on a moment's notice when they call.

Sunday I went back over to help him again. I noticed his freezer was really caked up with hard ice, so I defrosted his freezer and put everything back in in a nice organized way so he knows what he has. He made us lunch and I did the dishes and another load of laundry.

I have been helping him do his laundry for several years and I noticed the dryer takes longer and longer to dry. Usually you have to run it twice until everything is dried. I emptied his lint trap as I always do, and then I noticed there was some lint hanging on the rubber trim at the bottom of the dryer door. I reached there to clean it off and then I noticed the whole door was filled with lint. I stuck my hand up and pulled bunches and bunches of lint out of the door.

Then I looked under the lint trap and pulled bunches and bunches of lint out of the front of the dryer. I could not believe all the lint piles. Then I got the vacuum and spent at least 15 minutes vacuuming the door and the front of the dryer. I filled the clear bin to the top, and dumped it and turned it on again.

I am sure this hidden lint has really been a problem all along and I am glad I discovered it. I am sure it could be a possible fire hazard as well. I can't wait to do a load of wash and see if the dyer works much better. I think it will definitely save him money on his electric bill.

The Perfect Blog

I have been spending a lot of time perfecting my blogs. I don't know why, but every time I find something new to improve them, I go back in and "fix" every single blog. Time consuming? Very!
The only good thing is I am proud of what I have gotten done in a very short time, and "fixing" everything gives me practice, so by the time I fix all the blogs, I know what I am doing.
I was never a perfectionist, but I don't like sloppy work either.
What did I learn today to help my blogs look great?

First I always back up my templates with the widgets expanded and I always save them with the latest date to my back up template file. That way if I mess something up, I can delete it and upload my original.

Then I go to one of my blogs and take one item and try to fix it. I view my blog and if it worked I go back in and change everything I wanted to and then I go to my next blog and fix each one until I am done.

Today I learned how to make title pages, how to open links in new windows and how to make expandable post summaries.

How To Catch A Wild Pig

I received this in an e-mail.

There was a Chemistry professor in a large college that had some Exchange students in the class. One day while the class was in the lab, the professor noticed one young man (exchange student) who kept rubbing his back and stretching as if his back hurt. The professor asked the young man what was the matter. The student told him he had a bullet lodged in his back. He had been shot while fighting communists in his native country who were trying to overthrow his country's government and install a new communist government. In the midst of his story he looked at the professor and asked a strange question. He asked, “Do you know how to catch wild pigs?" The professor thought it was a joke and asked for the punch line. The young man said this was no joke. “You catch wild pigs by finding a suitable place in the woods and putting corn on the ground. The pigs find it and begin to come everyday to eat the free corn. When they are used to coming every day, you put a fence down one side of the place where they are used to coming. When they get used to the fence, they begin to eat the corn again and you put up another side of the fence. They get used to that and start to eat again. You continue until you have all four sides of the fence up with a gate in the last side. The pigs, who are used to the free corn, start to come through the gate to eat, you slam the gate on them and catch the whole herd. Suddenly the wild pigs have lost their freedom. They run around and around inside the fence, but they are caught. Soon they go back to eating the free corn. They are so used to it that they have forgotten how to forage in the woods for themselves, so they accept their captivity. The young man then told the professor that is exactly what he sees happening to America. The government keeps pushing us toward Communism/socialism and keeps spreading the free corn out in the form of programs such as supplemental income, tax credit for unearned income, tobacco subsidies, dairy subsidies, payments not to plant crops (CRP), welfare, medicine, drugs, etc. While we continually lose our freedoms -- just a little at a time. One should always remember "There is no such thing as a free lunch!" Also, "You can never hire someone to provide a service for you cheaper than you can do it yourself. Also, if you see that all of this wonderful government "help" is a problem confronting the future of democracy in America. If you think the free ride is essential to your way of life then you will probably delete this email, but God help you when the gate slams shut! Wake up America!
